Sheedy recently added a portable derrick to its line of roof-mounted hoisting equipment.  This new derrick is an ideal hoisting solution for projects where roof space is limited. 

 

Sheedy’s new derrick has a rated hoisting capacity of 7,000 lbs. at 25-ft radius.  All of the derrick’s components are hand-portable allowing for quick installation on the rooftop.  In some situations, the derrick can be secured to the roof and operated at full capacity with no roof penetrations.  

 

The derrick was recently used to hoist a Manntech Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) to the roof of the Union Bank of California building in San Francisco, CA.
